It goes without saying that the human suffering we are witnessing in Ukraine is horrific beyond imagination. Our hearts go out to these people who are under such cruel siege. And our gratitude goes out to all individuals, doing whatever they can to come to their aid.
Many here in Santa Barbara may not be aware of the number of Ukrainians, and Russians, who own and operate our smaller Assisted Living Homes for Seniors. They and the caregivers they employ have dedicated their lives to working together to care for our elders.
We would like to honor them today.
Over the years, we have witnessed the exceptional care, dedication, and love they consistently provide to their residents. They truly go above and beyond to meet all their residents’ needs.
We are always grateful to know we can rely on them to take exceptional care of those we refer to them.
Though the responsibilities of their jobs are quite substantial, true to form, all whom we have spoken with are also doing everything they can to get aid and transport to those who cannot escape the carnage in Ukraine.
For one example please click this link to read a Newzhawk article featuring Timothy Pryko, owner of several Assisted Living Homes in Santa Barbara who is organizing relief efforts along with his family and community.
Our thoughts are with all these everyday heroes and their loved ones in Ukraine, and we hope for an end to this suffering for all very soon.
