So greatful to Wendy Hozik of SLC. Her skillful and effective communication with all parties (my father, possible rental options, myself) resulted in an outcome of such grace and kindness in a process that can be fraught with contraction and fear. She not only expertly winnowed down the spectrum of options, provided transportation and kind support for Dad to assess living choices himself, and put him at such ease he was ‘a good fit’ for a range of services, she even made time the day of move in to meet with and listen to Dad when he was agitated and skeptical about following through on his choice. Then she helped me settle him into the apartment the day of the move, late on a Friday afternoon. She followed up AGAIN with a welcome visit and a chat with Dad after he had moved to see how he was settling in. Wendy is a wonderful force for good, superhero of elder care and placement, and a key asset to SLC of Santa Barbara. Thank you Wendy, we are blessed to have you as part of our lives.
